Other things being equal, fantasy leagues that allow trading and include active traders are the most fun and engaging. I understand why some leagues don’t allow trading to prevent collusion or tanking. Nobody wants two roommates running a fantasy Ponzi scheme or an owner fleecing his newbie Cousin Timmyas easy as "I’ll trade you this GREAT BIG Nickel for that little bitty dime." But if you have a good group of competent, adult team owners, trading adds a whole new dimension of team management to this hobby we enjoy.
Before turning to factors in evaluating trade value, a few basics about trading. A fantasy football league is a marketplace where the goal of trading is to improve your team by buying low and selling high. A few basics help every market function smoothly.
