Week #1: Picks to Click/Flick
Michael Nazarek - 9/1/2025

This section expresses my gut feeling with regard to which NFL players I feel will have good days and those that will have bad ones. I remind everyone to take these picks with a grain of salt. They are certainly NOT meant to override our weekly rankings! They are based upon past performances as well as this week's match-up. The start of the season brings some very interesting match-ups, including the Dallas Cowboys at the Super Bowl Champion Philadelphia Eagles, Kansas City at L.A. Chargers (Brazil), Pittsburgh at New York Jets, Tampa Bay at Atlanta, and Baltimore at Buffalo on Sunday night. One piece of advice I always stand by concerning week #1 is the following... ALWAYS START YOUR BEST PLAYERS if they are HEALTHY and STARTING. It takes a while for trends to develop, so just because Pittsburgh Steelers WR D.K. Metcalf is facing the Jets secondary and CB Sauce Gardner doesn't mean you should bench him for a player like Buffalo Bills WR Josh Palmer, facing a very beatable Ravens secondary. DON'T OVER-ANALYZE. You may live to regret it.

Look for these Picks to Click!

  • QB Jalen Hurts/PHI - Should throw all over the Cowboys with no Micah!
  • QB Drake Maye/NE - Gets off to a strong start at home against the beatable Raiders!
  • QB Tua Tagovailoa/MIA - Will burn the Colts secondary for multiple scores.
  • QB Kyler Murray/ARZ - Hello New Orleans!
  • QB Baker Mayfield/TB - Always burns the Falcons secondary for big games!
  • RB Christian McCaffrey/SF - Welcome back to real NFL football!
  • RB TreVeyon Henderson/NE - Will electrify with a score on the Raiders!
  • RB James Conner/ARZ - Scores on the Saints!
  • RB Jacory Croskey-Merritt/WAS - Has more success than expected against the Giants.
  • RB D'Andre Swift/CHI - Scores at home against the Vikings.
  • WR George Pickens/DAL - Scores on the soft Eagles secondary.
  • WR Keenan Allen/LAC - Do not overlook him with Herbert in a big game against the Chiefs!
  • WR Dont'e Thornton/LV - Scores against a beatable Patriots secondary.
  • WR Deebo Samuel/WAS - A big play or two is coming at home against the Giants!
  • WR Tet McMillan/CAR - Debuts with a score on the Jaguars!
  • TE T.J. Hockenson/MIN - Fire him up in a big game against Da' Bears!
  • TE David Njoku/CLE - Flacco loves to target him when he's healthy!
  • TE Mason Taylor/NYJ - The Jets will need him to come up big in the passing game!

Look to Flick these Picks!

  • QB Cam Ward/TEN - Will struggle in his debut on the road at Denver.
  • QB Spencer Rattler/NO - Don't expect much here against a solid Cardinals defense.
  • QB Justin Fields/NYJ - The Steelers defense is still no joke.
  • QB Daniel Jones/IND - Let's see what he's got as a Colt before you start him.
  • QB Aaron Rodgers/PIT - The Jets secondary is healthy and that will make his life tough.
  • RB Breece Hall/NYJ - The Steelers and a RBBC will limit him.
  • RB Nick Chubb/HOU - Won't get much against the Rams.
  • RB Tony Pollard/TEN - You gotta start him, but the Broncos will limit him.
  • RB Javonte Williams/DAL - The beginning of the end for Williams against the Eagles.
  • RB Najee Harris/LAC - Likely to be limited if he even plays against the Chiefs.
  • WR Jauan Jennings/SF - If he plays, he's likely to be limited due to a calf injury.
  • WR DeAndre Hopkins/BAL - Not the player he once was, so don't expect much against the Bills.
  • WR Darnell Mooney/ATL - See Jennings with regard to a shoulder injury.
  • WR Rashid Shaheed/NO - He needs to show he's healthy and productive with Rattler before he starts for anyone.
  • WR Hollywood Brown/KC - Not a full-time starter, so he's likely to see limited targets with Rice playing.
  • TE Pat Freiermuth/PIT - Likely to spend most of the game blocking Jets defenders.
  • TE Isaiah Likely/BAL - Likely to miss the game with a foot injury.
  • TE Chiggy Okonkwo/TEN - Not on the road against the Broncos!

End.

Testimonials

"There are only 3 sites I go to for my info: ESPN, NFL.com, and FFMastermind. Keep up the good work."
-- Paul B.

"Your site is the real deal. Glad to be back as a premium subscriber!"
-- Aaron R.

"Well worth the $60 to 'buy" myself another fantasy championship. If only my competitors knew my secret!"
-- Billy Millen

"I began using FFM in the late 1990s. For 20+ years they were an extremely valuable resource, as I enjoyed great success in my league during that period. Unfortunately, my league came to an end during the Covid years, and I stopped subscribing to FFM. After a year without Fantasy Football, I started looking into online sports betting and quickly realized FFM could again become a valuable source of information for prop bets on individual players. I resumed my subscription with FFM and have not looked back. FFM is clearly a dual threat; they can severely increase your odds of success in both fantasy leagues as well as prop betting. I almost feel guilty with the tremendous returns I get from such a modest investment in FFM."
-- Sal B.

"Mike, I'm back in with you buddy. Don't know how many years I've been with you, but I could not bear the thought of playing fantasy this year, without your services -- no matter what my job situation is."
-- C. Savoni

"After being cheap for a couple seasons - and having the results to show for it - I subscribed again last year and promptly won my league. You guys do an excellent job. I love the Tiering approach - it really makes it easier to figure out the best way to make good value picks."
-- Brian Hammond
