NFL.com reports Washington is acquiring San Francisco 49ers WR Deebo Samuel in exchange for a fifth-round pick, per sources. Samuel, due $21.7 million in 2025, will reunite with Commanders GM Adam Peters, who previously spent seven seasons with the 49ers front office. The 49ers selected Samuel 36th overall in the 2019 NFL Draft. The trade won't be official until the new league year starts on March 12.

 

Mike's View: Entering free agency, the Commanders have a lack of signed receiving talent, as WR Noah Brown, WR Dyami Brown, WR Olamide Zaccheaus, and TE Zach Ertz are all free agents. Now, Ertz wants to re-sign, but the Commanders may not want to invest in a 34-year
