This section expresses my gut feeling with regard to which NFL players I feel will have good days and those that will have bad ones. I remind everyone to take these picks with a grain of salt. They are certainly NOT meant to override our weekly rankings! They are based upon past performances as well as this week's match-up. The start of the season brings some very interesting match-ups, including the Baltimore Ravens at the Super Bowl Champion Kansas City Chiefs, Green Bay at Philadelphia (Brazil), Arizona at Buffalo, Jacksonville at Miami, and the New York Jets at San Francisco on Monday night. One piece of advice I always stand by concerning week #1 is the following... ALWAYS START YOUR BEST PLAYERS if they are HEALTHY and STARTING. It takes a while for trends to develop, so just because San Francisco 49ers WR Brandon Aiyuk is facing the Jets secondary and CB Sauce Gardner doesn't mean you should bench him for a player like Los Angeles Chargers WR Josh Palmer, facing a weak Raiders secondary. DON'T OVER-ANALYZE. You may live to regret it.

- QB Jordan Love/GB - Remember how bad the Eagles secondary was in 2023? They are not much better in 2024!
- QB Kyler Murray/ARZ - The Bills secondary is not what it used to be!
- QB Caleb Williams/CHI - Should debut with multiple scores against the Titans at home.
- QB Baker Mayfield/TB - A good game in coming at home against the beatable Commanders!
- QB Jared Goff/DET - A home debut in 2024 against a Rams defense without Aaron Donald!
- RB Saquon Barkley/PHI - Should produce well against a beatable Packers defense.
- RB James Cook/BUF - Will roll up the yardage on the weak Cardinals run defense.
- RB Alvin Kamara/NO - Should produce well with a score at home against the Panthers.
- RB Aaron Jones/MIN - Scores on the very beatable Giants defense.
- RB Gus Edwards/LAC - Ditto against the Raiders at home!
- WR Xavier Worthy/KC - Gut feeling he catches a long one for a score.
- WR Christian Watson/GB - A healthy Watson facing the Eagles secondary is a good thing!
- WR Drake London/ATL - He begins his big season with a score at home against the Steelers.
- WR Calvin Ridley/TEN - Begins his Titans career with a score against the Bears.
- WR Josh Palmer/LAC - Scores on the weak Raiders secondary!
- TE Dalton Kincaid/BUF - Smash play against the Cardinals at home.
- TE Evan Engram/JAX - Scores on the Dolphins in a big Florida game!
- TE Tyler Conklin/NYJ - Sneak fantasy play against the 49ers. Why? No one expects him to do anything!
Look to Flick these Picks!
- QB Jacoby Brissett/NE - Tough sledding in his debut on the road at Indy.
- QB Daniel Jones/NYG - The bad vibes he's giving off is enough to sit him until he produces a quality game!
- QB DeShaun Watson/CLE - Not feeling it against the Cowboys this week.
- QB Will Levis/TEN - Not a good time to start him on the road with a gimpy Hopkins at best.
- QB Bryce Young/CAR - He will produce better than 2023, but you should sit him on the road against the Saints this week.
- RB Chuba Hubbard/CAR - The Saints are likely to limit him at home.
- RB Ezekiel Elliott/DAL - The solid Browns run defense will limit him.
- RB Jaylen Warren/PIT - That hamstring injury could limit him or could flare up.
- RB D'Andre Swift/CHI - What is his role? It's a guessing game at his time.
- RB Jerome Ford/CLE - The Cowboys could limit him.
- WR Curtis Samuel/BUF - Turf toe will limit what he can do against the Cardinals.
- WR De'Andre Hopkins/TEN - Could still be very gimpy by the time gametime rolls around.
- WR Jordan Addison/MIN - Rumored to be suspended for the first three games.
- WR Mike Williams/NYJ - Likely to see limited action coming off a torn ACL vs. the 49ers.
- WR Jerry Jeudy/CLE - Forget it against the Cowboys.
- TE Pat Freiermuth/PIT - Rotational use will not help his fantasy cause.
- TE Cole Kmet/CHI - Ditto!
- TE Ben Sinnott/WAS - Five words... Zach Ertz is the starter.
End.
