Week #3: Acquiring & Trading Targets
Michael Nazarek - 9/22/2020

In this feature, I’ll do my best to offer 1-3 players (QB, RB, WR, & perhaps a TE) to target to acquire via trade as well as one player to trade away…

-- Look to Acquire --

QB DeShaun Watson, HOU - After a down week against the Ravens, Watson faces the tough Steelers this week, but then his schedule softens up nicely with games vs. MIN, vs. JAX, and @TEN. BUY LOW.

QB Matthew Stafford, DET - He's produced a few mediocre scores to date, but is due to get WR Kenny Golladay back this week, and has games @AZ, vs. NO, @JAX, and @ATL on the schedule. BUY LOW.

RB David Johnson, HOU - For the same reasons I'd acquire Watson, I'd go for D.J., as his rushing schedule gets much softer in the coming weeks.

RB Derrick Henry, TEN - Henry has yet to score this season. So what? His schedule is a bit up and down, but I have faith he will rebound, especially this week @MIN. BUY LOW.

WR T.Y. Hilton, IND - The Colts went run-heavy to beat the Vikings, but Hilton will be used a lot more in upcoming games. You should be able to BUY reasonably LOW since he's not yet gone off! Oh, it's coming soon!

WR Allen Robinson, CHI - He's been fairly quiet too, but that will change a lot this week against the sorry Falcons and others on the schedule. BUY LOW.

WR Adam Thielen, MIN - Yes, the Vikings passing game is struggling right now, so that can allow you to BUY LOW on Thielen, especially since he plays games vs. TEN, @SEA, vs. ATL, and vs. DAL in the coming weeks!

TE Mark Andrews, BAL - Anytime an elite TE has an off game early in the season, it's time to pounce and BUY LOW if possible. Heck, I'd BUY MEDIUM on Andrews!

TE Zach Ertz, PHI - I still believe Ertz will be a big factor in an Eagles run to get to the playoffs, so BUYING LOW here is an obvious thing to do.

-- Look to Trade --

QB Joe Burrow, CIN - If you need him or are in a dynasty league, then keep him, but coming off a 30-point game, his schedule includes games @PHI, @BAL, and @IND in the coming month. Consider SELLING HIGH in redrafter leagues if he is your backup to someone like Russell Wilson.

QB Gardner Minshew, JAX - I must admit I'm surprised at his success thus far, but don't think it will last, since he plays games against HOU (twice), @GB, and vs. PIT in the coming weeks. SELL HIGH.

RB Mark Ingram, BAL - I love my Bama boy, but he's still in a 3-headed RBBC, so perhaps you should consider SELLING HIGH coming off his first score of the year. After all, he still only saw 11 touches in the game.

RB Kerryon Johnson, DET - Much like Ingram, he scored last week, but is stuck in a 3-headed RBBC and only saw 8 touches on Sunday. I'd SELL HARD and get what you can before the roof caves in when Swift takes over!

WR Keelan Cole, JAX - Somehow, he is a top 20 PPR WR for fantasy, and I don't understand it. I certainly do NOT think it will last, so I'd SELL HIGH right now unless you really need him.

WR Odell Beckham, CLE - There are still issues with OBJ and QB Baker Mayfield. One decent game against the Bengals won't make them go away. SELL HIGH coming off his score and be glad you got rid of him. Love the guy personally, but he's is far from a good fit in Cleveland.

WR Russell Gage, ATL - If you need him, then hold him, but another score on Sunday has likely solidified his value as a great SELL HIGH player if he's one of you depth players. That said, if you can't get anything good for him, HOLD him and start him when you need him!

TE Jordan Reed, SF - Coming off a 2-TD game, it's an obvious smart move to SELL HIGH to the George Kittle owner, unless you are him!

TE Dalton Schultz, DAL - He had a huge game, so if you need him, hold him, but those 24 PPR points will not be repeated. SELL HIGH if he is your backup to fill a void at another position!

End.
