-- Von Miller Wants to Play in 2025 --
Wed May 28, 2025 --from FFMastermind.com
NBC Sports reports veteran free-agent LB Von Miller says he plans to play in 2025. He doesn’t yet know where that will be, but Miller knows it won’t be back in Denver. “I haven’t heard anything,” Miller said when asked if the Broncos have reached out. “But, I mean, really, if you look at it, this year, it really doesn’t make sense. They’ve got two really, really good rushers that are best in the league [caliber]. With Jonathon Cooper and Nik Bonitto, they are incredible rushers -- and the guys underneath them, they come in and produce sacks, too. And they play special teams. I’m not playing special teams. That decision kind of makes itself, I think at 36 years old, I can say that I probably won’t be doing that. But yeah, this year, probably not [a reunion with the Broncos], but the year after that -- next year -- we’ll see what happens.”

-- Broncos Making Sure to Get R.J. Harvey Involved in the Passing Game --
Sun May 11, 2025 --from FFMastermind.com
The Denver Broncos official website reports Broncos GM George Paton says after the 2025 NFL Draft that rookie RB R.J. Harvey might have the best vision of any running back in the draft, and the skill was on display during Saturday's open practice. So, too, was Harvey's ability to catch the ball out of the backfield. While he caught just 20 passes last season, Harvey showed his athleticism on Saturday, and HC Sean Payton said the team was intentional in getting the young player reps. "I think when you look at a lot of college offenses, I don't know how often the running back is built into the passing game," Payton said. "I think they are, to some degree, but maybe a little bit more so at the NFL level. Today, we had two or three schemes that went in. … If you've got one of those plays in the script, we try to make sure he's getting that rep." Payton said Harvey will have the ability to play on third down, in addition to first and second, because of a variety of protection options. "There's a lot we can do … to really suit his strengths," Payton said.

-- Sean Payton Speaks on Shedeur Sanders --
Sat Apr 26, 2025 --from FFMastermind.com
NBC Sports reports if the Denver Broncos had needed a starting quarterback, QB Shedeur Sanders might have been staying in Colorado. There’s a chance he’ll still end up in Denver, based on the things Broncos HC Sean Payton had to say after Sanders made it through the first three rounds of the draft unselected. “We sat there, I watched right behind him throwing and watching the receivers, he had an outstanding Pro Day,” Payton said. “This thing is surprising. There’s nothing that ever takes place during this period of time that surprises you. Last year, we had a Plan B quarterback and shoot, we thought second round, and he went.” This year, it appears that Payton had a first-round grade on a player who will be available at the start of round four. “I think we all were surprised and yet the talent, holy cow,” Payton said regarding Sanders. “I think if you’re a team that needs a quarterback, and we kind of know at the start of the draft who those teams are. Again I saw him when he was in junior high, and then I saw him when he was in high school, and then I saw him when he was a sophomore in high school come practice on their way to Florida. So I’ve had the chance, I know Deion [Sanders], I felt like I grew up watching him play. There’ll be a chip on his shoulder and beware because this guy’s going to play in this league. I think it’s hard for any of us to explain what other people are looking for. We focus on what we’re looking for and yes, I think it’s surprising.”

He is scheduled to make a $14 million base salary in 2025 and become a free agent in 2026. The Broncos want him long term, and he wants to stay with the Broncos long term. “My team has had a really good conversation with the guys up there in the front office, and I think it’s working in the right direction,” Sutton said. “Ultimately, you just want to know you’re working in the right direction. I think they see and have seen what I’ve brought to the team. I’m open and optimistic about the fact that I’ll be able to be here for the rest of my career.” Sutton skipped the Broncos’ offseason program last year in protest over his contract, but, in a show of good faith, he is expected to attend this year.
-- Evan Engram Speaks --
Sat Apr 12, 2025 --from FFMastermind.com
NBC Sports reports new Denver Broncos TE Evan Engram said “everything kind of clicked” when he heard HC Sean Payton’s thoughts about how he would fit into Denver’s offense. Engram said Payton pitched him on being a “jack of all trades” and that the coach sees him becoming “more of a vertical threat” that he was during his time with the Giants and Jaguars. “In Jacksonville, I was kind of a master of the underneath game, which is big for offenses, it’s big for young quarterbacks, it’s big for staying ahead of the chains,” Engram said. “I love that role in that offense. And I’m going to continue to be great at that and be great at whatever I’m asked to do. But I think the vertical presence that he mentioned and brought to the table and the vision he had for that was really big for me too. Because I do have that part in my game and I’m ready to be unleashed in that aspect. The vision that he has for that is that joker role. I love the narrative of the superhero, the supervillains, I love superhero stuff. I love Spiderman, Batman, all that stuff, it’s definitely cool. I love creating that narrative for myself to put a little bit of healthy pressure on me too. That’s something I’m going to full embrace. Whatever I’m asked to do, I’m going to do it to the best of my ability.”
