Week #10: Acquiring & Trading Targets
Michael Nazarek

In this feature, I’ll do my best to offer 1-3 players (QB, RB, WR, & perhaps a TE) to target to acquire via trade as well as one player to trade away…

-- Look to Acquire --

QB Derek Carr, OAK - He's a top 10 QB coming off a poor game against the Broncos. You know the drill here. He may struggle a bit against HOU after the team's BYE, but then plays vs. CAR, vs. BUF, @KC, @SD, and vs. IND, making it a sweet home stretch for this emerging STUD.

RB Todd Gurley, LA - Yes, I'm not crazy. It's all about his schedule. He plays @NYJ, vs. MIA, @NO, @NE, vs. ATL, @SEA, and vs. SF through week #16. Most of those games he'll have a great chance to produce better numbers. Just make sure you don't overpay for him.

RB Jonathan Stewart, CAR - Coming off a down week, look to acquire Stewart, as he plays vs. KC, vs. NO, @OAK, and later @WAS, and vs. ATL in week #16. Like Gurley, if he stays healthy, he will produce nicely. Just make sure you don't overpay for him.

WR Marvin Jones, DET - He may be the ultimate BUY LOW guy right now. His production has plummeted, but a very touch passing schedule is the real cause of that. Beyond a rematch with Minny in two weeks, he plays @NO, vs. CHI, @NYG, @DAL, and vs. GB (he had his big game against them) to finish the season. That's quite a nice stretch run for him!

WR Jarvis Landry, MIA - The Dolphins schedule toughens quickly, meaning less running and more passes to Landry. HC Adam Gase wants to get him going, so this is a nice time to buy him cheap coming off a lousy 3-catch game!

TE Travis Kelce, KC - There aren't any obvious BUY LOW TEs to targets this week, but Kelce is coming off a so-so game where he got tossed for two personal fouls. Big deal. He'll start and produce solid games for the rest of the season. If you can acquire him for a reasonable price, then go for it. But it's not like he's Jimmy Graham. Keep that in mind.

-- Look to Trade --

QB Trevor Siemian, DEN - He's coming off only his second multiple TD game, and it took a long screen catch and run to get his second TD Sunday night. Move him before he's benched!

RB Ryan Mathews, PHI - No change here. Mathews has been officially benched, but still gets red zone carries. SELL HIGH coming off his score and that fact since his value may go even lower if he doesn't score this week!

RB Latavius Murray, OAK - An obvious SELL HIGH candidate coming off that 3-TD game against the Broncos. He's still in a RBBC and his schedule is up and down against the run. His value won't ever get higher!

WR Rishard Matthews, TEN - He's been fairly consistent, but he is a Titan, so all bets are off week-to-week. Coming off his big game, if you have the depth to move him, selling high isn't a bad thing to do here.

WR Adam Humphries, TB - He was all the rage a few weeks back, then disappeared. But he reappeared with WR Russell Shepard went out due to injury and scored last Thursday night. If you own him as a depth player, now is the time to package him together and SELL HIGH. When Shepard returns, Humphries could disappear once again.

TE Jason Witten, DAL - He's hot right now, having just had his best game by far this season. That said, he's not normally a big part of the passing game, so looking to SELL HIGH makes perfect fantasy sense!

End.
