Week #10: The IDP Blitz
Steve Yerger
Quinton Dial, San Francisco - Dial isn’t going to set the world on fire, but he is a solid player who is fairly reliable at getting you 5 to 8 points.
Johnathan Hankins, NY Giants - Hankins hasn’t been quite as productive in 2016, but he is still a dependable player who is capable of big outings.
DE
Cameron Wake, Miami - Wake finally looks to be back to full strength and has recorded 31 points over the past 2 games.
Cameron Heyward, Pittsburgh - Heyward returned to the field in week 9 and while he only managed 3 points, he would be a great addition for the stretch run.
Akiem Hicks, Chicago - Hicks has quietly averaged 7.5 points per game in 2016, and is probably available after a week 9 bye.
CB
Brandon Flowers, San Diego - Flowers returned from a 4 week injury absence in week 8, and now looks to be back in form, with a whopping 26 point effort in week 9.
Xavier Rhodes, Minnesota - Rhodes has had the best stretch of his young career with 43 points over the past 3 weeks.
S
Donte Whitner, Washington - Whitner was just starting to emerge for the Redskins, with 32 points in their 2 games before their week 9 bye, and could still be available.
Devin McCourty, New England - McCourty had recorded double digit performances in 4 of the Patriots past 5 games, and could be available after a week 9 bye.
Adrian Amos, Chicago - Amos is averaging 11.5 points per game in 2016 and is turning into a very reliable IDP producer.
LB
C.J. Mosley, Baltimore - Mosley missed 2 games with an injury prior to the Ravens’ week 8 bye, but quietly returned with a solid 14 point effort in week 9 and should be added immediately if available.
Ryan Shazier, Pittsburgh - It looks like Shazier may finally be healthy again after the week 8 bye, as he recorded 23 points in week 9.
Thomas Davis, Carolina - Davis looked to be slowing down in 2016, averaging only 10 points per game through the first 6 games. But he has come back strong after the week 7 bye, with 55 points over the past 2 games.
Gerald Hodges, San Francisco - It has been tough to predict the LB corps for the 49ers since Navorro Bowman was injured, and even though Michael Wilhoite is still listed ahead of Hodges on the depth chart, Hodges has outscored Wilhoite 50 to 6 over the past 2 games.
Ramik Wilson, Kansas City - Wilson has been a consistent performer for the Chiefs recently, with 38 points over the past 3 games.
Try to grab these guys now while you still can, as they should be on everyone’s radar soon. Look for the IDP Blitz to return next week, as we will continue to dig deeper into the waiver wires to find some more hidden gems.
End.
