Arizona Cardinals June Scouting Report
David Vohs
6/30/2018

Last year the Arizona Cardinals finished 7-9 in a hugely disappointing year. This year, the Cardinals have no national expectations and are predicted to finish last in the NFC West Division.

Major news from mini-camp, RB David Johnson held out. We are not sure if the holdout will continue into training camp or this is just a message. If Johnson holds out, who will take the rock during training camp. RB Chase Edmonds (fourth round) is a rookie who has a potential to fill in for RB David Johnson. RB DJ Foster also could be getting some first team reps in training camp. Let’s hope that Johnson and the Cardinals settle their contractual issues soon. RB TJ Logan is also an option but missed his entire rookie season with a wrist injury.

QB Sam Bradford is reportedly looking very good this summer already. Hopefully he can stay healthy and sling his highly accurate passing around the field. Question is, who will he throw to?

WR Larry Fitzgerald of course will get most of the work. Who else? WR Christian Kirk was drafted to replace WR Larry Fitzgerald eventually in the slot. In the meantime, he will work outside. Someone will have to step it up in training camp.

The Cardinals face a daunting schedule this year but their defense can really help this team out and keep them in games throughout the season.

With no expectations, the Cardinals could sneak up on someone this year. In July, we’ll look at training camp battles and who will make this talented roster.

Go Cardinals!

End.
