Miami Dolphins March Scouting Report
Jimmy The Finger
3/15/2018

A busy off-season so far for the Miami Dolphins, so let’s get right to it.

Jarvis Landry, bye-bye. Or perhaps we should say: "Toodles!" Talk about a diva this guy should be wearing a tutu. And have fun in fricking CLEVELAND! But all Miami gets out of it is a 4th Round Pick. As far as Fins Front Office is concerned, last bunch of guys this good at their job were steering the Costa Concordia. Half expected them to trade Landry to New England for an 8th Rounder, agree to pay half his $16 Million salary in the bargain. At least they packed him off to Cleveland, the sphincter of the NFL. Then the Dolphins signed Albert Wilson for $8 Million a year and Danny Amendola for $6 Million. That’s $14 Million for 2 slot receivers who put together are not as good as Landry. I think Wilson has some upside, but signing Amendola is a bit of a mystery. In spite of what the so-called experts have been saying on ESPN and the NFL Network, Amendola has underachieved his whole career.

So long Ndamukong Suh. Difficult to get upset about losing anybody on the Dolphin D. They ranked 29th in Scoring last Season, and when games were on the line these guys couldn’t stop anybody. Don’t know how many of you have been watching the Free Agency Frenzy shows on NFL Network, but half the time they roll highlights the guys are playing Miami. This is what the Fins have become – the Washington Generals.

As I write this Breaking News: Miami has released Center Mike Pouncey. This guy had some ability when he was on the field, but probably missed half the games since the Fins Drafted him. Also a bit of a big mouth. Bigger than his on-field performance actually merited.

Looking ahead for the Fins we see a landscape somewhat reminiscent of a Mad Max movie, a desolate post-apocalyptic wasteland.

Last month I posted this list for off-season team needs, and see no reason to amend it:

1.) Team Owner; 2.) Team President; 3.) GM; 4.) Head Coach; 5.) Offensive Coordinator; 6.) Defensive Coordinator; and 7.) A few more players.

A couple reports in mainstream media suggest the Fins are considering going after QB Baker Mayfield with their First Round Pick, #11 Overall. This would be incredibly stupid, making it a distinct possibility. The team needs Offensive Line, Linebackers and DBs. Therefore you can make book their first pick will be either another Slot Receiver, a QB or a Tight End.

End.
