New York Giants July Scouting Report
Tony DeArmas
7/30/2017

Here is the Giants update for July after the beginning of training camp earlier this week:

QB Eli Manning will be on a pitch count during training camp as the team is setting him up for the long haul and a playoff push. He has a ton of publicized weapons at his disposal. He will need to stay healthy and upright. The health has never been an issue for the iron man but the offensive line needs to protect him. Rookie QB Davis Webb has looked great in minicamp and is set up to be Eli’s heir apparent.

The runningback corps looks set with RB Paul Perkins, RB Shane Vereen, RB Orleans Darkwa and rookie RB Wayne Gallman. They might keep a fullback depending on the roster composition. This will be a pass first offense, make no mistake about it.

WR Odell Beckham Jr, WR Brandon Marshall and WR Sterling Shepard are set as the starters. It is likely the team will only keep 5 receivers so WR Dwayne Harris and WR Tavarres King will take the other spots.

The tight end position has a ton of competition. TE Rhett Ellison, rookis 1st round TE Evan Engram and 2nd year TE Jerrell Adams should have roster spots locked up. Thee G-Men might keep 5 tight ends in total…we shall see.

The defense looks fantastic with obvious strength on the defensive line and secondary. The linebacking corps should be solid but clearly isn’t the focal point of the defense. More to see in training camp regarding the backers.

That’s it for now.

More to come in August with preseason game news….

End.

Testimonials

"Great site, been reading it for years. I visit lots of football sites every day of the year, and this is always the first one I go to!"
-- Doug

"I began using FFM in the late 1990s. For 20+ years they were an extremely valuable resource, as I enjoyed great success in my league during that period. Unfortunately, my league came to an end during the Covid years, and I stopped subscribing to FFM. After a year without Fantasy Football, I started looking into online sports betting and quickly realized FFM could again become a valuable source of information for prop bets on individual players. I resumed my subscription with FFM and have not looked back. FFM is clearly a dual threat; they can severely increase your odds of success in both fantasy leagues as well as prop betting. I almost feel guilty with the tremendous returns I get from such a modest investment in FFM."
-- Sal B.

"Well worth the $60 to 'buy" myself another fantasy championship. If only my competitors knew my secret!"
-- Billy Millen

"Your 4th & One Injury Report is much better than other premium reports I've seen. Keep up the great work!"
-- Bobby C.

"Thanks as always for the best service in the business. You run the highest quality fantasy service on the market today!"
