Cincinnati Bengals May Scouting Report
Mark Huber
5/24/2025

The Bengals continue to be fantasy football gold with a high-flying, pass-happy offense and a mediocre defense … mediocre at least until we see how new DC Al Golden works without the team's best pass rusher.

For now, DE Trey Hendrickson and the team are at an impasse for a long-term deal. Hendrickson is under contract for this season, but he has said he will not play under the current deal even though he signed it in good faith.

Transactions

5/14/25: Re-negotiated the contract of OL Cordell Volson. He is depth and no more. To this point in his career he has not shown the ability to be worthy starting for this team. His pass blocking skills are not up to par. Decent run blocker. All this can be changed with a new offensive line coach who may change Volson for the better

5/12/25: Signed DB Shaquan Loyal (CFA-Rutgers). Waived CB Micah Abraham.

5/9/25: Signed DT Dante Barnett (69, International Player Pathway program participant). Signed college free agents RB Quali Conley (CFA-Arizona), DT Howard Cross III (CFA-Notre Dame), OT Caleb Etienne (CFA-Brigham Young), DT Eric Gregory (CFA-Arkansas), CB Bralyn Lux (CFA-Texas Tech), WR Jamoi Mayes (CFA-Cincinnati), OL Seth McLaughlin (CFA-Ohio State), WR Jordan Moore (CFA-Drake), WR Rashod Owens (CFA-Oklahoma), TE Kole Taylor (CFA-West Virginia), QB Payton Thorne (CFA-Auburn), LS William Wagner (CFA-Michigan).

That's all for now! Back next month…

End.
