Dallas Cowboys March Scouting Report
Dr. Gil Brovar
3/31/2025
The Cowboys were more active during the free agency period although they did not sign any outside free agents that were noteworthy. The main players they lost were CB Jourdan Lewis and WR Brandin Cooks. The first one will be hard to replace and Cooks will not likely be missed.
They signed their own free agent DT Osa Odighizuwa, which was a good move. They also re-signed WR Kavontae Turpin, S Markquese Bell, LS Trent Sieg, CB CJ Goodwin, S Israel Mukuamu, and P Brhyan Anger.
They signed DT Solomon Thomas, RB Javonte Williams, RB Miles Sanders, WR Parris Campbell, G Robert Jones, DE Dante Fowler Jr., DE Payton Turner, LB Jack Sanborn, LB Kenneth Murray Jr.,and CB Kaiir Elam. None of these signings were major names nor were they expensive however they may get some good play out of a couple of them.
They are nearing the draft and would be wise to sign a Cornerback and a wideout as well as some Oline depth and a run stopping DT. They have a lot of holes that cannot be filled by just the draft, especially since they gave away their 4th round pick again, this time for WR Jonathan Mingo.
I will update this before the draft and see what their needs are. I cannot imagine that they will sign anyone of impact as that does not seem to be their way of doing business.
End.
