Los Angeles Rams March Scouting Report
Layton Pang
3/7/2025

New Year, new Champions! Congratulations to the Philadelphia Eagles on their dominant Super Bowl victory. Now that the 2024 season is over, we can focus on the 2025 season. The Rams gave the Eagles their toughest challenge during their Super Bowl run but still came up short. HC Sean McVay and GM Lest Snead are always trying to put their best team on the field and in 2025 that team will not include former receiving Triple Crown winner Cooper Kupp. Los Angeles said Kupp will not be back and they are actively trying to trade the former captain, which I think is absurd. I apologize for this late report due to a heavy work schedule and I will keep it brief since my real March report will be coming up soon. Let’s take a look at current situations for the Fantasy positions.

Quarterback: QB Matthew Stafford restructured his contract and will lead the Rams in 2025. QB Jimmy Garoppolo is a free agent who the Rams would like to bring back. QB Stetson Bennett is still on the roster but his future is unclear.

Running Back: RB Kyren Williams had another solid season (with the exception of a few too many fumbles) and is working with the team on an extension. RB Bake Corum is recovering from a broken arm and will try to improve on a disappointing rookie season. The Rams always seem to draft a running back and hopefully this year they take someone with game breaking speed!

Receiver: With WR Cooper Kupp likely out of the picture, WR Puka Nakua becomes the leader of that room and there is not much else right now. WR Jordan Whittington showed potential in his rookie year and will hopefully continue to develop. WR Tutu Atwell was surprisingly re-signed! There could be many new faces catching passes for the Rams this season.

Tight End: TE Tyler Higbee looked good when he finally returned to the field. TE Colby Parkinson and TE Hunter Long have reached their ceiling, which is not high enough and I think the Rams should try to develop TE Davis Allen.

Kicker: PK Joshua Karty had some inconsistencies earlier in the season but he improved as the season progressed and could be a solid contributor moving forward.

Defense: This is a young and exciting unit led by their front line and edge rushers. DL Kobie Turner, DL Braden Fiske, ED Byron Young, and ED Jared Verse (who won Defensive Rookie of the Year), should be even better in 2025. LB Omar Speights was an undrafted rookie who earned a starting spot. The safety position is solid with DB Kam Curl, DB Quentin Lake, DB Kamren Kinchens, and DB Jaylen McCollough all making big contributions in 2024 and looking to do even more in 2025.

Los Angeles was playing at a high level when the season ended and they have the potential to go even further in 2025. After losing Aaron Donald last year, this team will be without another franchise hero in Cooper Kupp. Hopefully the Rams can find the same success as they did last season. My next report will cover the upcoming Draft. Love and blessings to my family. Miss you Pops and Scratch! Aloha!

End.
