Camp starts today, July 18. The most interesting July pre-camp events have been the signing of FA DEs. Returning for his third consecutive season is DE Jerry Hughes. This effective old guy is fun to watch. Also, this week we saw the signing of DC Defenders standout, DE Malik Fisher. The Texans have done a lot this off-season improving the DL. Expect them in a rotation that keeps starters DE Will Anderson Jr and DE Danielle Hunter fresh. Still looking for more DTs to join the party. Starters this year are FAs DT Denico Autry and DT Foley Fatukasi. Back-ups may show up during training camp. The front four can rush the passer, but the jury is out on them being able to stop the run.

Have the interior OL upgrades arrived? OT Blake Fisher, selected in this years’ second round hopes to be the swing T. He should get plenty play in camp/pre-season because both starters, OLT Laremy Tunsil and ORT Tytus Howard, are coming back from off-season surgery. So is OLG Kenyon Green. He is healthy, in shape and due. If he cannot do it, just signed FA OG Jeff Reed may.

If both lines perform, we should have an interesting season. If so, the Texan QBs, RBs and WRs will become valuable to the fantasy football world.
