Arizona Cardinals April Scouting Report
David Vohs
4/8/2024

There was no splash…. There was not huge signing …. The Cardinals spent the first part of the 2024 free agency period I think watching others do their thing and waited for the fallout!

Here are some of the moves the Cardinals HAVE made during this off-season so far:

Cardinals re-sign defensive lineman DL L.J.Collier to a one year deal. Good for the team, good for Collier!

Cardinals sign LB Mack Wilson, DT Bilal Nichols, and DT Justin Jones, as well as CB Sean Murphy-Bunting.

Fantasy-wise:

Cardinals agreed to terms with RB DeeJay Dallas to back up and compete with RB James Connor, RB EmariDemercado, and RB Michael Carter.

Cardinals also re-signed P Blake Gillikin

Cardinals sign WR Chris Moore to a 1-year contract. In addition, they have signed several OL and DL as well.

The biggest splash the Cardinals made was grabbing QB Desmond Ridder as a backup to QB Kyler Murray but it cost them WR Rondale Moore who just didn’t pan out following high expectations. Perhaps a new team will help him.

There are tons of rumors about the draft and trading the #4 pick to get the #11, 23 and 27 picks. Then the Cardinals move back up to #8 and pick Washington WR Rome Odunze and then takes an edge rusher at #23 then trades down at #27 and gets 2 more picks in the second round….. fun times this draft should be!

The AZ Cardinals have 11 draft picks in the 2024 draft. Look for them to move all over the place to get the players they want.

Here are their picks and sources:

Round 1 (4)
Round 1 (27)
Round 2 (35)
Round 3 (66)
Round 3 (71 - from Tennessee)
Round 3 (90 - from Houston)
Round 4 (104)
Round 5 (138)
Round 5 (162 - from Houston)
Round 6 (186 - from Minnesota)
Round 7 (226 - from NY Giants)

The Cardinals will look a LOT different than last year’s team having lost WR Marquise Brown, OL DJ Humphries, CB Kyler McMichael, DL Leki Fotu, LB Zeke Turner, WR Rondale Moore

Let’s see what the 2024 NFL Draft will bring, but it promises to be VERY exciting!

Go Cardinals!

End.

-- Mike St. Clair

"I began using FFM in the late 1990s. For 20+ years they were an extremely valuable resource, as I enjoyed great success in my league during that period. Unfortunately, my league came to an end during the Covid years, and I stopped subscribing to FFM. After a year without Fantasy Football, I started looking into online sports betting and quickly realized FFM could again become a valuable source of information for prop bets on individual players. I resumed my subscription with FFM and have not looked back. FFM is clearly a dual threat; they can severely increase your odds of success in both fantasy leagues as well as prop betting. I almost feel guilty with the tremendous returns I get from such a modest investment in FFM."
-- Sal B.
