Houston Texans February Scouting Report
David Trojanowsky
2/24/2023

After the new head coach dust settled, the Texans seem to have clarity about their number one draft selection come April. Forget trading up for the projected franchise QB Bryce Young selection. It would really make them look too stupid to trade up one spot after giving away the first overall pick on their last play of the regular season. I believe they will select DT Jalen Carter at number two if Young is off the board! Selecting the highest graded prospect would be a winning move.

When and where will they get a Franchise QB? Next year? Potential franchise quarterbacks, like QB Drake Maye and QB Caleb Williams may be their best shot in 2024.

The Texans are looking forward to better times in 2023. They have good draft picks this year and will be in decent shape cap-wise. They can re-stock the talent. Houston fans are hoping, not expecting, that Miracles can be real. Hope is a good thing. In Houston, hope with good draft picks and talented FA signings could turn this franchise around. I think it will take more than a year.

Fan favorite OLT Laremy Tunsil anchored an O-Line that was up and down last year. The Texans have brought in a new O-Line coach. Will the Texans finally fix that OL? A center and offensive guard with mean streaks from free agency would be nice.

Went to the Houston Roughnecks gave last weekend. The XFL is fun. Do yourself a favor and make some of their games this Spring.

End.

"Well worth the $60 to 'buy" myself another fantasy championship. If only my competitors knew my secret!"
-- Billy Millen

-- Bobby C.

"I began using FFM in the late 1990s. For 20+ years they were an extremely valuable resource, as I enjoyed great success in my league during that period. Unfortunately, my league came to an end during the Covid years, and I stopped subscribing to FFM. After a year without Fantasy Football, I started looking into online sports betting and quickly realized FFM could again become a valuable source of information for prop bets on individual players. I resumed my subscription with FFM and have not looked back. FFM is clearly a dual threat; they can severely increase your odds of success in both fantasy leagues as well as prop betting. I almost feel guilty with the tremendous returns I get from such a modest investment in FFM."
-- Sal B.
