Arizona Cardinals Late August Scouting Report
David Vohs
8/31/2022

Well, the 2022 season is upon us. The Cardinals have cut their team to 53 players and will spend this week fine tuning their roster and getting their practice squad filled out. Of any note: QB Trace McSorley has been signed to the practice squad.

So let’s look at who made the squad:

QB- QB Kyler Murray is the starter, the future, and who we have for what 8 years? Time to raise the bar, Kyler! QB Colt McCoy is the backup and I’m sure QB Trace McSorley heads to the practice squad.

RB - This is going to be an interesting season for running backs. RB Trey Sermon could even join this crew. RB James Conner will be joined by RB Eno Benjamin, RB Keaontay Ingram, RB Jonathan Ward, RB Darrel Williams. RB K Ingram could be inactive most of the season as we’ve seen the Cardinals do quite often.

WR – The Cardinals kept 6 receivers and right now, here is the order in which you want them: WR Marquise Brown, WR Rondale Moore, WR DeAndre Hopkins (suspended 6 games but watch out when he comes back), WR A.J. Green, WR Greg Dortch, and WR Antoine Wesley. I think Hopkins has a chance to make your team win your championship if he comes back ready.

TE – The Cardinals kept all 3 that I thought: TE Trey McBride (Rookie), TE Maxx Wiliiams, and starter and probably the only one you want on your fantasy team is TE Zach Ertz.

K – PK Matt Prater. Nuff said.

Look for the Cardinals to have a slow start and a 3-3 record through 6 games might be a gift. They should heat up and start getting their stride. Look for them to get 9 or 10 wins and be in the thick of the playoff hunt!

Go Cardinals!

End.

Testimonials

"I've been subscribing for about 6 or 7 years, and this is the best draft guide you guys have put out yet!"
-- Mark Lewandowski

"Mike, I'm back in with you buddy. Don't know how many years I've been with you, but I could not bear the thought of playing fantasy this year, without your services -- no matter what my job situation is."
-- C. Savoni

"You already know the quality of the information available on this site, but Mike also responds immediately to customer issues. I did something to mess up my log in to the site and was unable to access it. One call to FFMastermind (Mike personally handled the issue) and things were cleared up and I was back in immediately."
-- Tony Schnocky

"I began using FFM in the late 1990s. For 20+ years they were an extremely valuable resource, as I enjoyed great success in my league during that period. Unfortunately, my league came to an end during the Covid years, and I stopped subscribing to FFM. After a year without Fantasy Football, I started looking into online sports betting and quickly realized FFM could again become a valuable source of information for prop bets on individual players. I resumed my subscription with FFM and have not looked back. FFM is clearly a dual threat; they can severely increase your odds of success in both fantasy leagues as well as prop betting. I almost feel guilty with the tremendous returns I get from such a modest investment in FFM."
-- Sal B.

"Thanks a ton for all your work on IDP information and analysis - very grateful as I am just leaving for the draft now. That's why FFMastermind blows all others services away."
-- Steve Ward

"Well worth the $60 to 'buy" myself another fantasy championship. If only my competitors knew my secret!"
-- Billy Millen
