Arizona Cardinals February Scouting Report
David Vohs
2/28/2021

Well, the 2021 NFL League Year is about to begin. What a year 2020 was for the Cardinals. While they did not have the winning season and really fumbled down the stretch, limping home to an 8-8 record (4-4 home 4-4 road) with 410 points for and 367 points given up. The Cardinals lost their last 2 games to finish at 0.500 winning and losing percentage.

The next few items the Cardinals have to look after are free agency and the 2021 NFL Rookie Draft. The Cardinals have a ton of unrestricted free agents this year. Let’s look at the list:

CB Patrick Peterson – 31 years old - $14.01M

WR Larry Fitzgerald – 38 years old - $11.5M

RB Kenyan Drake – 27 years old $8.483M

OLB DeVondre Campbell – 28 years old - $6M

OG J.R. Sweezy - 32 years old $4.5M

DT Corey Peters – 33 years old $4M

OLB Markus Golden – 30 years old $3.75M

OLB Haason Reddick – 27 years old $3.4M

PK Zane Gonzalez – 26 years old $3.3M

P Andy Lee – 39 years old $2.6M

CB Dre Kirkpatrick – 32 years old $1.05M

QB Brett Hundley – 28 years old $1.05M

TE Dan Arnold – 26 years old $0.6M

WR Trent Sherfield 26 years old $0.57M (great special teamer)

Restricted Free Agents do not affect fantasy football for the most part. The one RFA I would like to see brought back is OLB Dennis Gardeck. He plays with nothing but heart.

Which ones will Arizona target? In my opinion, OLB Haason Reddick and OLB Markus Golden should be resigned and put in a rotation with OLB Chandler Jones.

In addition, in my opinion, WR Larry Fitzgerald needs to come back for one more year so we fans can ensure he knows how we truly feel about him.

As far as the NFL draft goes (and free agency), an NFL Team always needs improvement at most all positions. The Cardinals need CB, OL, DL, RB, WR, TE, and ILB. So, the Cardinals should take the best player available at each pick they have.

In March we will discuss potential draft and free agent targets for the Arizona Cardinals.

Enjoy the off season,

Stay healthy and safe

End.

Testimonials

"I began using FFM in the late 1990s. For 20+ years they were an extremely valuable resource, as I enjoyed great success in my league during that period. Unfortunately, my league came to an end during the Covid years, and I stopped subscribing to FFM. After a year without Fantasy Football, I started looking into online sports betting and quickly realized FFM could again become a valuable source of information for prop bets on individual players. I resumed my subscription with FFM and have not looked back. FFM is clearly a dual threat; they can severely increase your odds of success in both fantasy leagues as well as prop betting. I almost feel guilty with the tremendous returns I get from such a modest investment in FFM."

"I'd like to thank Fantasy Football Mastermind for all their great information this year. I was in five leagues this year. I made the playoffs in four of the leagues, had the best record in three leagues, went to the championship in three leagues."
