New York Giants Early August Scouting Report
Tony DeArmas
8/13/2020

Here is the Giants update for the first half of August with training camp. It will be strange without preseason games and a heavy concentration of intrasquad games instead. My only hope the NFL exercises whatever protocols needed to ensure an uninterrupted season. Major League baseball has been a travesty thus far.

QBDaniel Jones put on 10 lbs. of muscle in the offseason which should help him endure the long and physical NFL season. I am excited to see what new OC Jason Garrett has in store for the young signal caller. QB Colt McCoy is the unquestioned #2.

RB Saquon Barkley is saying and doing all the right things so far. If he stays healthy, I expect him to have a big year.

The main goal of the solid receiving corps of WR Sterling Shepard, WR Golden Tate, WR Darius Slayton, and WR Corey Coleman is to stay healthy. Personally, I think Slayton has tremendous upside, even after his promising rookie campaign.

TE Evan Engram has had an outstanding rehab from LisFranc foot surgery. If he stays on the field, watch out! Otherwise, he will be playing elsewhere next year.

I expect big things from DC Patrick Graham’s defensive schemes. There are veteran playmakers throughout but I am very curious to see what rookies or second year players step up and make a mark. The obvious area of need is the pass rush.

That’s it for now.

More to come in later in August….

End.

Testimonials

"Thanks again for helping me win 3 championships in 4 years. Your premium services are great. Considering I won over $4,500 (net) in four years, I would say your service is quite a bargain."
-- K. Rogers

"I began using FFM in the late 1990s. For 20+ years they were an extremely valuable resource, as I enjoyed great success in my league during that period. Unfortunately, my league came to an end during the Covid years, and I stopped subscribing to FFM. After a year without Fantasy Football, I started looking into online sports betting and quickly realized FFM could again become a valuable source of information for prop bets on individual players. I resumed my subscription with FFM and have not looked back. FFM is clearly a dual threat; they can severely increase your odds of success in both fantasy leagues as well as prop betting. I almost feel guilty with the tremendous returns I get from such a modest investment in FFM."

"After being cheap for a couple seasons - and having the results to show for it - I subscribed again last year and promptly won my league. You guys do an excellent job. I love the Tiering approach - it really makes it easier to figure out the best way to make good value picks."
