Los Angeles Rams July Scouting Report
Layton Pang
7/31/2020

Another month of the Covid-19 pandemic has wiped out the entire pre-season and even though training camps are set to open in the next week or two, the 2020 season is still in jeopardy. This has been the craziest off-season that I can remember but has definitely made me realize how fragile we are and how life can change in an instant. There has been no activity to report since last month; however, no news is good news when it comes to reports of Coronavirus. A few NFL players have decided to opt of the 2020 season but none of them are Rams. Even better, no Ram player has tested positive. All of this uncertainty has affected Fantasy Leagues across the land as well. If you are drafting in the near future, you will have to roll the dice like the rest of your Co-Owners. As for Rams players, here is how I would rate each of the Fantasy relevant players.

QB Jared Goff: Solid QB2 with QB1 upside.

RB Cam Akers: RB1 status if he wins the lead back role; RB2 if he is in a RBBC.

RB Darrell Henderson: RB2 at best unless there is an injury to Akers.

RB Malcom Brown: Short yardage back with low end RB3 value.

WR Robert Woods: Solid WR2 with WR1 upside

WR Cooper Kupp: Low end WR1 with potential as strong WR1.

WR Josh Reynolds: Sleeper potential but only WR3 for now.

WR Van Jefferson: Should contribute but not enough to be more than WR4

TE Tyler Higbee: Solid TE2 with TE1 upside.

TE Gerald Everett: Needs to stay healthy to reach TE2 potential.

DT Aaron Donald: Solid every week IDP

LB Micah Kiser: Sleeper who could lead the team in tackles if he stays healthy.

DB John Johnson: Potential every week IDP.

DB Taylor Rapp: Potential every week IDP.

This is just a quick overview of the Fantasy potential for Rams players. Hopefully the season can start and complete without any interruptions but that seems like a dream right now. Health and safety to all of you and please be safe and considerate of others. If you believe and have faith you know what to do, if you don’t, then you will need to learn soon. Love and blessings to my family. Miss you Pops! Aloha!

End.
