New York Giants July Scouting Report
Tony DeArmas
7/29/2019

Here is the Giants update for July after the beginning of training camp last week:

QB Eli Manninghas looked so far in camp as he is in the second year of the Shurmur offense. This might be Eli’s last year and he will not give up the starting gig willingly to rookie QB Daniel Jones who just signed his rookie contract. Jones will watch and learn behind the 2 time Super Bowl MVP and future Hall of Famer. The quarterbacks will benefit greatly from the overhauled offensive line which looks like the best they have had in a long time. G Kevin Zeitler and G Will Hernandez will anchor this improved group alongside T Nate Solder and T Mike Remmers.

The runningback corps is led by standout RB Saquon Barkley who already is turning heads in training camp with amazing plays. He is also a standout off the field as a family man and supporter of various community activities. RB Wayne Gallman, RB Rod Smith and RB Paul Perkins are picking up the scraps behind Saquon.

The receiving corps is in a bit of disarray at the moment. WR Sterling Shepard has a fractured thumb and will miss a bit of action. In addition, WR Golden Tate is facing a 4 game suspension for using a banned substance. He is appealing but likely will not win. WR Corey Coleman tore his ACL and will miss the season. WR Cody Latimer has stepped up and has been a key contributor thus far in camp.

The tight end position is led by TE Evan Engram. If he can stay healthy, he should have a very good year as he presents massive matchup problems for the defense with his size and speed combination. TE Rhett Ellison is always steady and rookie TE CJ Conrad has impressed in camp so far.

The defense looks impressive early with the addition of rookie DT Dexter Lawrence and rookie CB DeAndre Baker. I am excited to see what these guys do in camp as well as seeing Year 2 of the Bettcher defense.

That’s it for now.

More to come in August with preseason game news….

End.

Testimonials

"Picked up my second consecutive championship in the major league I play in. $1,100 first prize! First back to back winner in league history and my 3rd Fantasy Bowl in a row. Thanks for the help throughout the year!"
-- Brett H.

"Thanks again for helping me win 3 championships in 4 years. Your premium services are great. Considering I won over $4,500 (net) in four years, I would say your service is quite a bargain."
-- K. Rogers

"I began using FFM in the late 1990s. For 20+ years they were an extremely valuable resource, as I enjoyed great success in my league during that period. Unfortunately, my league came to an end during the Covid years, and I stopped subscribing to FFM. After a year without Fantasy Football, I started looking into online sports betting and quickly realized FFM could again become a valuable source of information for prop bets on individual players. I resumed my subscription with FFM and have not looked back. FFM is clearly a dual threat; they can severely increase your odds of success in both fantasy leagues as well as prop betting. I almost feel guilty with the tremendous returns I get from such a modest investment in FFM."
-- Sal B.

"Your site is the real deal. Glad to be back as a premium subscriber!"
-- Aaron R.

"After being cheap for a couple seasons - and having the results to show for it - I subscribed again last year and promptly won my league. You guys do an excellent job. I love the Tiering approach - it really makes it easier to figure out the best way to make good value picks."
-- Brian Hammond

"...there are several speciality sites out there that cater to the fantasy crowd... Good sites for fantasy football include:... (www.ffmastermind.com)."
