"AIR"izona Cardinals Report March 2019

(See what I did there?) The Cardinals should be "AIR"ing it out all season next year with Coach Kliff Kingsbury (Coach K2 we’ll call him). It stands to reason that if the Cardinals have Coach K2 leading this effort, then give him the Quarterback he not only wants, but needs!

The Cardinals have the #1 draft pick in the 2019 clock and are on the clock currently. All signs before Coach K2 was hired signaled the Cardinals either doing one of two things: Draft the best player (Most think DE Nick Bosa) on the defensive side of the ball or trade down for a massive number of picks. It appears there isn’t anyone (YET!) that wants to go up to take the #1 overall player from the Cardinals so it appears the Cardinals should be set to take the best player possible. SSSSCCCCRRRREEEAAACCCCHHHH! Hold on!

The Cardinals coach wants a wide open offense and Heisman Trophy Winner QB Kyler Murray from University of Oklahoma is the guy we think that should be leading that offense instead of QB Josh Rosen. QB Kyler Murray led a wide open at OU and K2 wants to see that type of offense in Arizona. Last year, the Cardinals struggled to even move the football most games and averaged less than 150 yards of offense.

The Cardinals have done a lot in the offseason lately.

Before free agency, the Cardinals added CB Robert Alford, TE Charles Clay, ILB Tanner Vallejo, OLB Brooks Reed. They also traded for OT Marcus Gilbert and signed ILB Terrell Suggs. In addition, during Free Agency, the Cards signed: QB Brett Hundley, ILB Jordan Hicks, OG J.R. Sweezy, WR Kevin White, and OG Max Garcia.

There have been some tough departures as well: OG Mike Iupati to the Seahawks, OG OdayAboushi to Detroit, LB Deone Bucannon to Buccaneers (another jersey down!), LB Markus Golden to the Giants (all my jerseys!!!)

April will be spent on the draft. This is a whole new Cardinal team for better or worse. I doubt it can get much worse, however.

Go Cardinals!

End.
