Arizona Cardinals February Scouting Report
David Vohs
2/28/2019

Where to start! New coach Kliff Kingsbury, is at the NFL combine and the Cardinals are the buzz talk of the 2019 NFL Draft. Who will the Cardinals take with the #1 overall pick? Will they trade it? Will they trade QB Josh Rosen and draft QB Kyler Murray? Will they go defense and take the best player in the draft DE/LB Nick Bosa? Kliff Kinsbury will bring his wide open offense to the Cardinals but will it work? He was 35-40 at Texas Tech but what happens in the NFL? Let’s hope the Defense can keep the opposing team off the board and the offense can run wild!

The Cardinals need help in many many areas on both offense and defense.

Offensive needs: WR, WR, oh did I mention WR!!! Also, OL, OL, OL. What did they do? They have signed TE Charles Clay (which helps at the WR position) to a one year contract. Coach Kliff Kingsbury has long admired TE Charles Clay’s talents. Of course, the biggest news is WR Larry Fitzgerald was re-signed for 2019! Larry! Larry! Larry! Also, the Cardinals signed WR Bryant Mitchell on a futures contract. (I know very little about this receiver).

Defensive needs: CB2, DE/LB, DT. The Cardinals did a great thing by adding CB Robert Alford who was let go by Atlanta. Yes, he is 30 years old, but it is an upgrade by any comparison. CB Robert Alford was signed for 3 years and was a great signing. They also signed LB Brooks Reed from the Atlanta Falcons and claimed LB Tanner Vallejo off waivers from the Cleveland Browns for depth. The Cardinals need a big body or 2 on the DL to stop the run game.

The Cardinals have a first round pick, 1 Second, 1 Third, 1 Fourth, 1 Fifth, 3 Sixth round picks (from Bucs and 1 compensatory pick), and 4 7th round picks including the very last pick.

We’ll discuss in March who I think the Cardinals should draft.

End.

"I began using FFM in the late 1990s. For 20+ years they were an extremely valuable resource, as I enjoyed great success in my league during that period. Unfortunately, my league came to an end during the Covid years, and I stopped subscribing to FFM. After a year without Fantasy Football, I started looking into online sports betting and quickly realized FFM could again become a valuable source of information for prop bets on individual players. I resumed my subscription with FFM and have not looked back. FFM is clearly a dual threat; they can severely increase your odds of success in both fantasy leagues as well as prop betting. I almost feel guilty with the tremendous returns I get from such a modest investment in FFM."
-- Sal B.

"I'd like to thank Fantasy Football Mastermind for all their great information this year. I was in five leagues this year. I made the playoffs in four of the leagues, had the best record in three leagues, went to the championship in three leagues."
