Training camp is on! Two training camps have been held as of this writing and another happens tomorrow. The Cardinals train at the University of Phoenix stadium in Glendale, Arizona. They will be having a few practices outdoors as well in this Arizona heat. Good idea! That is one that fans will not be allowed to participate in for fear of heat stroke! The Cardinal fans have already been watching

Fans are excited in Arizona. A new regime! A new start. A hero stays in Red (WR Larry Fitzgerald). The Cardinals have been placed at #30 in the power rankings. From 8-8 to third to last in the power rankings. I hope the Cardinals are so mad they take everyone’s heads off!

So, training camp is happening and so far so good! The second day of camp brought out the pads and the "Oklahoma" drill. That’s one on one … beat me or I beat you. The first two "combatants" were OLB Chandler Jones (Defensive End this year) and LT DJ Humphries. They put on a great show. DE Chandler Jones also broke a blocking sled today. Other notables: QB Sam Bradford has looked amazingly sharp. QB Josh Rosen has been amazing at learning and allowing himself not to be the starter.

RB David Johnson has looked good. That’s a very good thing.

What are the major camp battles happening in the next few weeks?

Battle #1: #2 WR on this team is currently a major mystery. WR Christian Kirk, WR Brice Butler, WR Greg Little, WR Chad Williams, WR JJ Nelson, WR Corey Willis, WR Jalen Tolliver, WR CJ Duncan, and others.

WR Larry Fitzgerald is the first option and best option.

Battle #2: 2^nd Cornerback. CB Brandon Williams and CB Jamar Taylor are battling for the #2 CB spot. I am not sure the Cardinals are done finding their #2 CB. I think that will come later.

Battle #3: RB #2 Who will backup RB David Johnson? RB Chase Edmonds is the leading candidate for the #2 RB spot. RB DJ Foster will have a tough time making the team while RB TJ Logan might take over the return duties. RB Elijhaa Penny will find the tough yards when needed or when RB David Johnson is gassed. My vote: RB Chase Edmonds from Fordham is my guess.
