NBC Sports reports Houston Texans GM Nick Caserio offered an update on WR Tank Dell (minor wound in shooting) this week. Dell was shot during an altercation between others in Sanford, Florida last weekend and word at the time was that Dell suffered a “minor wound.” Caserio said that Dell is recovering well. “Tank is doing great,” Caserio said. “We have had conversations with him. We have visited with him. HC DeMeco Ryans had a chance to talk to him the other day. He is doing okay. Certainly, making progress. He has been in and out of the building. ESPN reports WR Darius Slayton has not been with the New York Giants as he looks for a contract extension or adjustment from the Giants heading into the 2024 season. He came into town to receive an award from the United Way for his work with the community and said he’s “enjoyed my time as a Giant and I’d like to remain a Giant” into the future. Giants GM Joe Schoen said that drafting WR Malik Nabers in the first round was not a sign that the team is looking to move on from Slayton, who received a roster bonus in March and is in the final year of his current contract. Slayton said his representatives are talking to Schoen and that he is “confident” that the situation will be rectified before dragging into training camp or the regular season. “I don’t think it will get to that point,” Slayton said. “Like I said, it’s been good, constant communication throughout the whole process. It’ll be resolved soon.”

The Jacksonville Jaguars official website reports the Jaguars have released veteran WR Zay Jones after taking LSU WR Brian Thomas Jr. in last week's NFL draft. Jones played two years with the team, but missed most of last season dealing with a PCL injury and cartilage damage in his femur. Meanwhile, the Jaguars have also released PK Joey Slye, they drafted PK Cam Little in the sixth round this weekend. PK Riley Patterson remains on the roster.
