2022 Mock Rookie Draft - Version I (Preview)

The practice of creating a mock draft before the Combine is meant as a starting point, a baseline that is meant to explore what positions drafting teams will likely target early rather than nail down the exact player. True, there are a few no-brainer mock picks every year and the picture becomes clearer going forward.

The 2022 draft, like the past few classes, is deep in WR talent. However, many question the star-quality of the QB pool this time around. RB offers a few gems but the position remains in a devalued state due to physical attrition. OT looks talented and deep. There are good CBs that may run into the 3^rd rounds this year. For now we are focused on the opening salvo of the 2022 draft, so here goes. And there is a shocker or 2 in this first take.
