2019 PSDG: Ranking The Rookies - Class of 2019 (Preview)

Taking rookies on your roster, especially if you don’t have player carryover from one year to the next, but rookies are the lifeblood of the NFL and, given the short shelf life of players and injuries that take place during the season, rookies can be inexpensive pickups that can save a fantasy roster at times if they pan out early.

All one needs to do is look back at last season to see how many rookies end up having some fantasy value. There were QBs Baker Mayfield, Lamar Jackson, Josh Allen and Sam Darnold. There were running backs Saquon Barkley, Nick Chubb, Kerryon Johnson and Nyheim Hines. There were wide receivers Calvin Ridley, Anthony Miller, D.J. Moore, Courtland Sutton, Michael Gallup, Christian Kirk, Tre’Quan Smith and Antonio Callaway. There were tight ends Dallas Goedert and Chris Herndon. And there was kicker Daniel Carlson, who ended up playing well...
