Week #6: Sunday Night Waiver Wire
By Michael Nazarek

10/6/2013 - SUNDAY - 4:15 PM PT: The following waiver wire is a quick first look at certain players who could make a solid fantasy impact each Sunday night during the season. They may or may not be free agents in your league, but we want to ensure you know about them in order to have the first chance at a possible free agent acquisition. This list does NOT replace our free-agent feature released on Tuesday nights ("The Market"). You should consider it an abbreviated early-bird bonus list with a quick 1-2 lines of fantasy analysis. Note: This list is NOT A RANKING, but rather just a quick list. Our free-agent rankings for the week will be released in Tuesday's "Market" feature...

QB Eli Manning, NYG - The team is winless, but Manning was solid today, throwing for 334 yards and two scores against the Eagles.

QB Sam Bradford, SL - He threw for three scores against the hapless Jaguars today to get a much needed win.

QB Ryan Tannehill, MIA - He threw for 307 passing yards and a score against the Ravens today in a close loss.

QB Brandon Weeden, CLE - He's regained the starting job with QB Brian Hoyer (ACL) lost for the season.

QB Ryan Fitzpatrick, TEN - He was better than expected in a close loss to the Chiefs today, throwing for a score and 247 yards.

QB Chad Henne, JAX - He threw for a score in relief of an injured QB Blaine Gabbert (hamstring). He will start if Gabbert can't play next week.

QB Nick Foles, PHI - He threw two scores today against the Giants and will start next week if QB Michael Vick (hamstring) can't play.

QB Jeff Tuel, BUF - He'll start for the Bills for as long as QB E.J. Manuel (knee) is injured.

RB Willis McGahee, CLE - He's far from washed up, so in case someone dropped him in your league, grab him now, as the Browns like to ride him hard when they have a lead!

RB Pierre Thomas, NO - He scored twice on catches today, totaling 91 yards of offense. Perhaps in smaller leagues he's on your waiver wire.

RB Zac Stacy, SL (r) - He left the game today that he started injured, but said after the game he's fine and just got the wind knocked out of him. He impressed while he played, gaining 78 rushing yards on 14 carries.

RB LeGarrette Blount, NE - He is the starter as long as RB Stevan Ridley (knee) is injured.

RB Donald Brown, IND - He's making the most of his touches, stealing a TD run from T-Rich today on 8 touches.

RB Brandon Jacobs, NYG - He saw 11 rushes today with RB David Wilson (neck) injured. He will start next week if Wilson can't play.

RB Jackie Battle, TEN - He totaled 62 yards on just 7 touches today, and nearly got a score at the goal.

WR Hakeem Nicks, NYG - If anyone was stupid enough to drop him recently, grab him now. He's back! 9 catches for 142 yards says so!

WR Alshon Jeffery, CHI - He's a no-brainer fantasy free agent pickup after his huge 10-catch, 218-yard game with a score today against the Saints.

WR Justin Blackmon, JAX - He may be available to pick up in smaller leagues, so do it now after his nice 5-136-1 performance!

WR Austin Pettis, SL - This slot machine scored twice today, while catching 4 passes for 49 yards against the Jaguars.

WR Golden Tate, SEA - He scored today, while catching 5 passes for 61 yards against the Colts.

WR Robert Woods, BUF (r) - He was solid last Thursday night, catching 5 passes for 64 yards against the Browns.

WR Brandon Gibson, MIA - The slot machine didn't get many targets today, but made his 4 catches count for 74 yards.

WR Doug Baldwin, SEA - He was solid today, leading the Seahawks with 80 yards receiving on 5 catches.

WR Donnie Avery, KC - He made his 3 catches count today for 91 yards against the Titans.

WR Kris Durham, DET - He started today with Megatron out, catching 3 passes for 30 yards and a score.

TE Tyler Eifert, CIN (r) - He was solid against the Patriots today, catching 5 passes for 53 yards.

TE Brandon Pettigrew, DET - He stepped it up with Megatron out, catching a team-high 4 passes for 59 yards.

TE Charles Clay, MIA - He did it again today, scoring again, while catching 3 passes for 52 yards.

TE Brent Celek, PHI - He was up today, burning the Giants for 3 catches and 47 yards with a score.

TE Lance Kendicks, SL - He's making a bigger impact than TE Jared Cook, catching 4 passes for 37 yards and a score today.

TE Sean McGrath, KC (r) - With TE Anthony Fasano out again, he was solid today, catching 4 passes for 54 yards.

End.
