Getting Healthy

Once training camp was over players started to get healthy, guess they just did not want to be part of the two-a-days.

More Quarterback Derby

I am sure no one is looking this way for a quarterback, that would be your smartest move this season. QB Joe Flacco started the last preseason game and has the look of a rookie, just not ready but he may endup being the starter when the season starts. QB Kyle Boller is hurting with a shoulder things and QB Troy Smith has tonsillitis and may not be able to go in the last preseason game. So if Boller and Smith can not get any time on the field, the job will fall to Flacco.

Running Backs

Starting RB Willis McGahee still has not see the field due to getting his knee scoped. They are saying he can go on week one but do not count on it. Look at RB Ray Rice. Wait for the season to start to get a better look at this. They have also ran with the big boys, FB Le'Ron McClain behind four-time Pro Bowl FB Lorenzo Neal. That too could be something to look at.

Wideout

WR Derrick Mason still looking good, worth a pick. Seem that whoever the quarterback is they find mason. WR Mark Clayton is looking like that guy who got lost last season, nope have not seen him. WR Demetrius Williams still not playing. Rookie WR Marcus Smith looks good but then looks bad, it will take some time and now he is hurting from a shoulder. WR Yamon Figurs should only be looked at for his returns/Special Teams.

Blocking Up Front

OT Adam Terry is back on the field and seen game time. OT Jared Gaither just made it back on the field, may or may not play in the last preseason game but will be ready for week one. The guys in the middle are still learning. OC Jason Brown, OG Ben Grubbs and OG Marshal Yanda are going to be good together just have to give them time. I like what this line could become.

Tight Ends

TE Dan Wilcox is ready to go after not taking part of any of training camp. TE Todd Heap will be ready for the season but you will not see him until then. TE Adam Bergen pushed TE Lee Vickers out of job, but TE Aaron Walker was handed his walking paper in the first cuts today. They also turned OLB Edgar Jones into a tight end. No word on how this will work, TE/OLB Edgar Jones might get to play on both sides of the ball.

Defense

OLB Terrell Suggs was on the field and looked like he just got onto the field, lets see how long it takes for him to get it going. Suggs should have a better year with a healthy DT Trevor Pryce. DT Haloti Ngata and DT Kelly Gregg should be ready for the start of the season but keep an eye on Gregg just to be sure.

The Back Field

FS/SS Haruki Nakamura and FS/SS Tom Zbikowski just make you smile. Nakamura has been playing well ahead of Zbikowski but Zibby has shown some good signs in the last game. FS Jim Leonhard has found a home as long as FS Ed Reed is standing on the side will get lots of playing time. CB Chris McAlister and CB Samari Rolle will be the starters, CB Fabian Washington has done a outstanding will be the nickle back. CB Frank Walker has stood out at time then really looked bad at time. CB Derrick Martin hurt his shoulder but should have a spot on this team and may very well be the dime back.

Line Backers

LB Ray Lewis waiting for the season to start? He really has not looked his great self in preseason. LB Bart Scott has a fire, I think the guy would play all day long and all year long if they would let him.

So Special

PK Matt Stover will be your kicker and RS Yamon Figurs should be your Special Teams guy.

That’s it for now. Go Ravens!
